Rancho Hidalgo is located in Animas, New Mexico. Animas is within a 2.5-hour drive of Tucson, Arizona or two hours from either El Paso, Texas or Las Cruces, New Mexico. Due to its high elevation (4,600 feet above sea level) and low humidity, Rancho Hidalgo enjoys a comfortable year-round climate.

Average winter temperatures range from lows in the 30's (°F) to highs in the low to mid 60's (°F). Summer temperatures are temperate with lows in the low 60's (°F) to highs in the low to mid 90's (°F). Best of all, the area enjoys 350+ days of sunshine!

Rancho Hidalgo is located in one of the most historic and stunningly beautiful regions in all the Southwest. The area was once home to several native tribes and infamous characters of the Wild West.
